Integrity Tree Services completed this project for Michigan housing developer Allen Edwin Homes in Wyoming, a suburb of Grand Rapids. Seven employees worked hard to clear 20 acres of land in a little more than a month to make way for a new housing development. The project will eventually include about 80 homes and condominiums, as well as nature trails for residents to enjoy.
Giving Back to our Community
In addition to completing this work, Integrity Tree Services was able to give back to our community through a donation of the removed lumber. A truckload of the timber was delivered to Rockford Christian School, a Pre-K through 8th grade school in Rockford, MI.
A few years back, the school removed their traditional playground equipment and built a natural playground made up of logs, earth mounds, and tree posts. They were looking for more timber to construct a second playground because the first one is so popular with students, who spend a lot of time outside during recess and their environmental studies program.
Integrity Tree Services saw this opportunity as a way to give back and repurpose a great natural resource for students in our community. We are excited to see the new natural playground take shape!
Our team was able to make this project a success through cohesive teamwork and logistical planning of resources, including multiple pieces of onsite equipment. The land was efficiently cleared of mature trees and heavy brush, and roots were removed for ease of excavation by the developer.
