About Mike

Mike was born in West Michigan and grew up there. He attended Unity Christian High School and Grand Valley State University, earning an accounting degree. He now lives in Hudsonville, MI with his wife Rachel and their son Max. Outside of work, you’ll typically find Mike spending time with his family outside, attending Michigan State sporting events, and golfing.

About Mike's Job

Now in his fourth year at ITS, Mike serves the team as the Director of Finance. When he joined the team, Mike worked as a Controller before moving into his current role. Mike oversees our finance team and focuses our efforts in the financial planning and strategy space.

WHAT’S ONE THING YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT YOUR JOB?

I don’t like budgets any more than anyone else does. Unfortunately, it’s just part of the job.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?

I really enjoy developing tools and processes that make my teammates’ jobs easier. Whether we are working on a job bid, an equipment purchase, or a contract negotiation, our finance team always provides working data and information. We want to help make those daily decisions and tasks easier so our teammates can be as efficient as possible.
