Carl has worked at Integrity Tree Services as a South East Region Trainer for almost one year. He shares more about himself and his work below:

About Carl:

Carl grew up in Dorthy, West Virginia. He is happily married and enjoys woodworking and hiking in his free time.

About Carl’s job:

As a South East Region Trainer Carl is responsible for traveling between crews and teaching them skills that will help them progress within the company. These training sessions also help keep our crews safe.

What’s one thing you wish people knew about your job?

Carl would like you to know that there is a lot more planning as a trainer than most people realize. Keeping our crews safe, while also helping them grow in their careers and within Integrity Tree Services, requires hard work and dedication.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most about my job is the ability to work outdoors. I also really enjoy being able to interact and work with people that have the same skills and interests.

Meet Dominick

Dominick has worked as a Tree and Shrub Care Sales Representative and Department Foreman at Integrity Tree Services for more than three years. He shares more about himself and his work below:

About Dominick:

Dominick is originally from Colorado, but has lived in Michigan for six years. While growing up in Colorado, Dominick gained appreciation for the outdoors and ecology. He attended college in Durango, Colorado, where he received a Bachelor of Science with a major in Environmental Biology and a minor in Sustainable Agriculture from Fort Lewis College. Apart from rafting and kayaking, Dominick enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, sports, gardening, landscaping, and woodworking. He especially enjoys participating in these activities with his wife and kids.

About Dominick’s job:

Dominick was hired at Integrity as a technician in the Tree and Shrub Care (TSC) Department. During this time he learned how to diagnose various pests and diseases, as well as how to treat them. Dominick was able to apply his teachings from college in this job, but he was also able to learn new arboriculture skills. During the Tree and Shrub offseason Dominick rotates throughout different departments within ITS. These acquired skills and knowledge led Dominick to his current position as TSC Sales Representative and Department Foreman.

What’s one thing you wish people knew about your job?

I want people to know that tree work is essential, and many of the trees that this company needs to prune or remove are either damaged or hazardous to people’s homes, businesses, or essential utilities. Not only can Tree and Shrub Care help trees and shrubs look better aesthetically, but it can also be vital in protecting your plants from pests and diseases.

What do you love most about your job?

I love that I am able to have the opportunity to be outside, apply my past knowledge, learn new skills, and interact with new people every day.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most about my job is being responsible for my own work.

Meet Adam

Adam has worked at Integrity Tree Services as a Corporate Recruiter for the past year. He shares more about himself and his work below:

About Adam:

Adam was born in Plano, Texas, but grew up in East Lansing, Michigan (Go Green!). He moved to Grand Rapids to attend Grand Valley State University. In Adam’s free time, he enjoys playing hockey, reading, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, watching the Lions and Red Wings try their best to win, and spending time with family and friends.

About Adam’s job:

Adam is responsible for recruiting and onboarding great people to join the Integrity team. He primarily recruits and onboards Trimmers and Foremen. Adam spends a lot of his time talking to people, trying his best to assess their fit within the Integrity team and where they can grow best.

What’s one thing you wish people knew about your job?

In talking with hundreds of individuals with a wide array of backgrounds and experiences in the tree industry, it is clear to me that Integrity stands apart from many other tree service companies. It’s been interesting (and sometimes scary) to hear some of the stories that candidates have told me about their previous experiences with other companies. When employees join our team they soon realize that they will be treated safely, fairly, and respectfully with a team that wants to see them grow and succeed.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most about my job is the feeling I get when new team members successfully join our team and spread the word to everyone they know about how much they enjoy working with ITS. There’s definitely a family dynamic to this company, so I’m always excited for people to experience first hand when they start with us. We are a bit smaller than many of the other tree companies that have been around for awhile, so it’s not out of the ordinary if someone hasn’t heard of us. When they do hear about us, though, and decide to join our team, and then share with others their experience, it’s exciting when they have friends or family reach out and ask about working with us as well.

Meet Jon

Jon works as a Senior Safety Specialist at Integrity and has been part of the Integrity team for almost a year now. He shares more about himself and his work below:

About Jon:

Jon lives with his wife and two kids, a daughter (10) and a son (7). Jon’s extended family lives across the country in Wyoming, Montana, and Utah. In his “spare time” Jon works on house renovations. He also enjoys woodworking, fishing, and hunting.

About Jon’s job:

As a Senior Safety Specialist Jon works to support our regional managers, ground foreman, and crew members, training of climbers and fellers. Additionally, he also provides safety audits and feedback regarding areas in which Integrity can improve, especially in the safety arena.

What’s one thing you wish people knew about your job?

I thoroughly enjoy it. This is the best group of people that I have ever had the opportunity to work with, and I have been around the block. This is also the best company that I have ever come across, and I am grateful to have been chosen for this position.

What do you love most about your job?

All of it!

Meet Matt

Matt works as a Safety Assurance Specialist at Integrity and has been an integral member of our team for the last 5 years. He shares more about himself and his work below:

About Matt:

Matt was raised in Massachusetts, but moved to Michigan to be closer to two of his brothers, who had moved to the Midwest. He spends his free time with family, fishing, and firearms, as well as a small business he runs. He also enjoys listening to good music and hanging out with good people.

About Matt’s job:

Matt is responsible for representing all Integrity employees in regards to health and safety. He spends a significant amount of time traveling to job sites and conducting observations, as well as responding to any team member concerns. Matt also creates some of our training materials and coaches team members in the field as needed.

What’s one thing you wish people knew about your job?

The one thing I wish that people knew about my role with the company is how much we care about our people. We are different from other organizations because we are encouraged and allowed to truly care about our team. My position is unique because it allows me to help people across our entire footprint. The opportunities that I’ve had since working at Integrity Tree, to impact good people for the better, has helped me in my personal life, in more ways than I can describe. I am extremely thankful for our company every single day. That is reinforced by watching team members improve and advance with my department’s assistance.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most about my job is the people. We have amazing people that have found us and call Integrity Tree their family. The ability to represent amazing people every day doesn’t feel like a job. It feels more like a hobby. I cannot begin to thank this company enough for everything they have provided and offered me. I left my “dream” career and sold a worldwide known business to work here, so that I could dedicate my available hours to this company and attempt to give back some of what I’ve gained. What I get out of working here is worth more to me than most things, and you wouldn’t understand unless you have experienced what I have. I secretly volunteer my time to coach countless team members towards success because that’s what feels right. Our people are family.
