Adam has worked at Integrity Tree Services as a Corporate Recruiter for the past year. He shares more about himself and his work below:
Adam was born in Plano, Texas, but grew up in East Lansing, Michigan (Go Green!). He moved to Grand Rapids to attend Grand Valley State University. In Adam’s free time, he enjoys playing hockey, reading, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, watching the Lions and Red Wings try their best to win, and spending time with family and friends.
About Adam’s job:
Adam is responsible for recruiting and onboarding great people to join the Integrity team. He primarily recruits and onboards Trimmers and Foremen. Adam spends a lot of his time talking to people, trying his best to assess their fit within the Integrity team and where they can grow best.
What’s one thing you wish people knew about your job?
In talking with hundreds of individuals with a wide array of backgrounds and experiences in the tree industry, it is clear to me that Integrity stands apart from many other tree service companies. It’s been interesting (and sometimes scary) to hear some of the stories that candidates have told me about their previous experiences with other companies. When employees join our team they soon realize that they will be treated safely, fairly, and respectfully with a team that wants to see them grow and succeed.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is the feeling I get when new team members successfully join our team and spread the word to everyone they know about how much they enjoy working with ITS. There’s definitely a family dynamic to this company, so I’m always excited for people to experience first hand when they start with us. We are a bit smaller than many of the other tree companies that have been around for awhile, so it’s not out of the ordinary if someone hasn’t heard of us. When they do hear about us, though, and decide to join our team, and then share with others their experience, it’s exciting when they have friends or family reach out and ask about working with us as well.
